Fresh and Fancy

A few years ago I designed a Table Runner series called Fresh and Fancy.

The idea behind it is, one side has a little more detail, so it is a little Fancier
and the other side is more simple, Fresh.

You can make either or both.

You can make it double sided so you can change your table just by flipping it over.
Either way, its 2 table runners in 1 pattern.

I had not added them to my new shop until now, so I just thought I would let you know they are there in PDF or paper patterns!

And if you put FRESHANDFANCY in the discount box you can get $3.00 off each pattern.

They are 21" x 42".  Take a look...

Have a great day!

Oh, what do you do in the Summertime?

It's been a very busy summer so far this year with lots of unexpected things and lots of our favorite summer activities.  To start off, the end of April our youngest son Ryan, graduated with his Masters Degree from BYU.

So proud of him!

But then he and his wife, Breanna and their sweet little girl, Lyla, headed off to Texas.

Way to far away for grandma...we really miss them.

In June, we had a visit from Camille with her family and had a fun Birthday celebration...

...the boys on the front steps of our house....and a weekend away at the Cabin doing some site seeing, relaxing and water skiing.

Yes, that's my husband and I am pretty impressed he can still ski like that.

At the end of June, we welcomed a new grand baby, 3 weeks early, Dane, and then had

our 4th of July celebration and official Olaveson Family Reunion.  So much to do and not near enough time, but we were so glad to spend some time together at the Cabin and lake. I wish everyone could have been there, hopefully next year.

Between celebrating lots of summer birthdays,
holidays,
spending as much time as possible with my grand kids...

... and my treatments, I have had some time to cut up a few more tiny bolts, baby kits, crochet, sew, and work on lots of projects. This is my latest project that I can't wait to work on this weekend, granny squares. I will keep you posted with my progress on that.

I have another grand baby due to arrive in a few months so I just finished the binding on her quilt this week. She is also getting a little anxious to come early and I thought I better be prepared.

So whats your summer like?  Lots of sewing or lots or family time?  Hopefully a little of both!

Baby Love

I have a new grandson, so tiny and oh sooo fun to snuggle!
Newborn babies are my very favorite age.

He arrived 3 weeks early, but I am grateful to say, he and his mom are doing well.

Of course, all of my grandchildren must have a baby quilt made
especially for them by their Grandma.

The one I made for this little guy is from my new Baby Love pattern.

I made it with navy, lime green and aqua prints.

He is so little and has lots and lots of hair.

As you can see, his sister thinks he's pretty great too.

In my shop are a few Flannel Fat Quarter bundles that would work well
to make this Baby Love Quilt,

one for boys and...

 ...one for girls.

There is also a quilt back listed for each one.

You will also find the pattern in the shop as well.

If you buy at least one of the bundles and put in the code BABYLOVE
you can get the Baby Love pattern for $5.00.

Hope you all have a great week enjoying family and friends,
I have some snuggling to do!
