I think I need a 12 step program...

For years I have had an obsession with buying furniture (as my family can attest to) and when you live in your house for 25 years you don't really need to buy more furniture at some point.

Last year when I remodeled my kitchen and studio I found this chair at Pier 1 that really caught my eye.  Well, with all the remodeling expenses I just couldn't justify buying it, after all, I was getting a whole new kitchen.

So now, a year later, I was going through the mail and started flipping through the Pier 1 catalog and there it was!  The chair I really wanted!  I convinced my husband to take me to dinner that night and stop by Pier 1 just to "take a look".  Well, needless to say, the chair followed me home.

As I said, I think I need a 12 step program...
Am I the only one?

  1. My family needs a 12 step program! I wish I could convince them that my new bigger house isn't their personal storage facility...I have a total of 5 rocking chairs in my house! Most of the furniture is beautiful antiques...but secretly I think I could trade all those rocking chairs in for a lovely chair like yours!

  3. You are not the only one.I bought and restored an 18 room Victorian, filled it full of furniture then decided to scale back, sold alot of it, then bought some more. I have 5 children and I give it away as fast as I find something new.

  4. Well, it's hard not to be addicted to furniture when you find such awesome pieces. I love that chair! I currently have a sofa and large chair I've had for seven years and would love to replace them, but unfortunately they are still in great shape. What's a girl to do?

  9. That is the cutest chair. And how can you keep a home fresh if you don't add something new occasionally? Glad you got it. Great husband.

  11. I just went to Pier1.com and your chair is right there when you click on the furniture tab. Yes, I might need that 12 step program too... I'm off to see if they have it in my local store. :-)

  15. Bonnie I'm with you on the furniture addiction but I don't think we need cured! We could have much worse addictions.

I sat in your chair at Pier 1 a couple weeks ago. It's amazingly comfortable!! I might have indulged to but am not a green person and it only comes in the green print. Enjoy your new chair!!
