An even dozen!

This month we will celebrate the birth of our 12th grandchild, a baby boy!  We couldn't be more excited.  He will join his older brother and 3 older sisters and no doubt be just as cute as each of them are.  I have been busy stitching on a new quilt for him.  Each of my grandchildren get a quilt from Grandma when they are born.

The quilt I made is from my new pattern called Scrumptious and has a raw edge finish so

 it was quick and easy. 

It's made with jelly roll strips or you can cut strips from yardage which is what I did to get the colors I wanted.  I used the greens, grays, and aquas from our new Vintage Modern line.

I had to use Snuggles on the back to make it extra cozy and I quilted it on the stitch lines so it had a

zig-zag pattern on the back.

My daughter in law Cecily gave me a cute plaque that says

"Some of my greatest blessings call me Grandma".

and that is certainly true.

Can't wait to snuggle that little one soon!
