Never the less, we did have a few warm days. I LOVE SUMMER!!! It is my favorite time of year.
So I thought I would share a few pics of our summer fun.
We went to a few parades...
My husbands father with his Belgium horses in the 4th of July Parade.
Mr. K enjoying the day.
We had lots of fun at Grandma's (me) house climbing...
and swinging...
throwing rocks in grandpa's pond...with only one small slip...
cooking out...
and playing games.
We rode horses,
celebrated several birthdays...
picked and ate lots and lots of raspberries...MMMM
We had our daughter, Emily and her husband Jordan's Open House in our back yard.
What a great day!
We had a wonderful family Reunion in Island Park.
and boating
wakeboarding,
and lots and lots of waterskiing...
little guys...
and big guys.
Yes, that's my husband at 53 showin' em how it's done!
On the way home we stopped at Big Juds for a BIG, BIG burger,
and some ice cream.
We haven't all been together at our home for 6 years!
It was so fun to get together!
Don't we have the cutest kids and grand children ever!!!
PS - One Olaveson baby due any day and a little Olaveson/Roskelley baby due in December.
That makes 10 grand children for those of you who are counting...we are so blessed!
My husband and I took one last overnight get a way to Yellowstone Park last week. It was so beautiful!
Old Faithful is amazing!
...and did I mention I LOVE SUMMER! I hate to see it end.
Wow, that was a lot of pictures to wade through, but I think all of you that did deserve a prize! Make a comment and you will be entered into a drawing for a "Bliss" charm pack!
"Bliss" In stores now!
Hope you all had a great summer!
Bonnie
The photos are all wonderful. Miss seeing Belgium horses in the parades around here, so that was especially fun to see. Not as great as your grandchildren though.
ReplyDeleteTerrific photos of the family. You are definitely blessed! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family! Those kids are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win some Bliss! It is beautiful too!
I loved a peek at your summer. I want to put up a recap like that on my blog too. I'd love the Bliss charm pack. Such pretty fabrics.
ReplyDeleteYou have an adorable and photogenic family. You must have done something right that they enjoy coming back to visit and have fun. Give yourselves a pat on the back!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a blessing that you were all able to get together! There are only two in my family, and we still never seem to have everyone all together! Love Bliss...just finished a big quilt out of it ;)
ReplyDeleteWow....I need to summer in Idaho! I have been pining for summer to end in Georgia and it won't quit! I would love to win Bliss. Enjoyed your pix and a reminder of how much I also love Yellowstone!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your summer was pure BLISS. I'd love to win it. Kathie L in Allentown
ReplyDeleteI love Bliss, and I am anxious for my store to get it in! Summer is a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE Bliss... I actually got the "pre" pre-cuts and have made 2 "almost" tops. I was bound and determined to actually finish something in current fabric... WEll, I have moved from UT to SC and no ONE has BLISS!!! What are people thinking??? It is one of the cutest lines ever!!! I am adjusting to the local shops. People are nice but a lot don't even carry Moda??? Is that even possible?? I'm going on line to find it OR go back to Material Girls, I can always count on them!!! Thanks for such a beautiful line!!! AND, glad you had a great summer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family you have---I am envious of your grandchildren. I'm a grandma-in-waiting so I have to be patient! Love the Bliss; thanks for the drawing!
ReplyDeleteYour family really is gorgeous Bonnie; those grandkids of yours are all so beautiful! And yes, I would love some Bliss - it was all gone by the time I made it to the Moda table at sample spree!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great summer.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better or more precious than our families. It is amazing how they grow so fast and move on. I am so glad your family got together this year. My family was finally all together this year too. Love it. Thanks for the great pics and the very nice giveaway. Love your work.
ReplyDeleteWOW - great pix! You were busy~
ReplyDeleteyou should have told me you were going to Jellystone...I am in MT! You have a lovely family and it looks like some great times. WE had awful weather here, it went from spring to fall!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely family! I also had a great summer with my grandchildren. I love your new fabric line.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a wonderful summer you had - full of family and fun. Wonderful pics. Thank you for this giveaway. Some Bliss would be grand.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great summer!! I can't wait to see Bliss hit my local shops!
ReplyDeleteNo need for a giveaway - the pics were all great. What a summer you had!
ReplyDeleteBut as long as you're doing one.......*S*
I have wanted some Bliss since first seeing it on Camille's blog. Thanks for the giveaway. Looks like you had a wonderful summer. Mine was a bit different with some surgery, and I'm looking forward to cooler fall weather.
ReplyDeleteAww, you certainly do have some cute grandchildren! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing and reading about your summer adventures in Idaho with your family. I loved visiting my grandparents every summer on their farm in southern Idaho. I happened to see the comment from Cheri C who just relocated to SC. I live in Summerville SC and we have a shop here that has Moda. It is Sew & Sew 843-871-7822 they are located on Main St. not to far from the freeway.
ReplyDeleteBliss has some pretty color combos! Great family pics...
ReplyDeleteHannah
Eight grandkids soon, what a blessing indeed! It looks like a great summer to me. I prefer the fall and spring so these mild summer temps we had in Utah were perfect for me! You have a beautiful family. I hope it isn't another 6 years before you're all together again :)
ReplyDeleteCindy
I so love summer -- it always means more family time! Sounds like you had a great time. Bliss actually makes me think of summer -- the bright colors, the picnics, and all the fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great summer! I can't wait to get my hands on some Bliss. Thanks for the chance. : )
ReplyDeleteI love Bliss. I love it so much that when I received my LONG AWAITED fat quarter bundle I could not bring myself to cut it. I fondled it for days. It's the most beautiful line of fabric I've ever seen! I would love a charm pack! But I can't promise that I'll actually be able to cut it:) I guess I'll have to make a "charming" quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for creating it!
Jenny Rose
awesome pics, sure wish my summer was that good, more bad than good, had to move hubby's business, and in the process of fixing up the new location, he fell in the opening of the floor on a joice and broke some ribs, scarey day!! he is the breadwinner, and i am the sahm of our 4 kids, stressful, he is feeling better, i would love to win some bliss, it would really make my day. i have a quilt made out of cotton blossoms, and a quilt made out of simple abundance, bliss is my next project, but buying some may take a while. hope your new grandbabies a safe journey into this world this year!!!

SWEET picture of dad! How come we didn't have any water like that in Island Park? I guess its better for me, it would have been too tempting.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great summer! Unfortunately my summer was interupted by a car accident :o( Luckily we already went on a holiday so we had enjoyed that, but now I have to remain very calm, so I can recover from my whiplash. It's very frustrating, because I can't quilt as much as I want to! But I do have a lot of time now, to think of new quilts I want to make :o) Love your new fabric range, with the bright and happy colors!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of a big, beautiful family. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWish we could have sent you some of the heat in Louisiana!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking family. Making memories is what makes Summer such a great time of year. I am already looking forward to next summer. But fall also has its fun traditions. Thanks!!

ReplyDeleteand having bliss come out at the end of summer, what a way to go out with a bang this year!!!
bliss is absolutely beautiful!!!
Not only are the grandkids adorable but so are your kids!! I still can't believe that it's September? Only three(ish) more months until 2011? What's that about? I dunno!! I love how your daughter takes her preggers pictures!! Pregnant woman are so glowy!! I miss my pregnant belly....Who knows maybe this time next year, I may have another bun in the oven....geez was that a lil TMI? my bad!!
ReplyDeleteYour family is gorgeous, and I loved looking through the photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm also finding hard to believe that summer is already over although it looks like you definitely made the most of it.
It is wonderful to see families having so much fun together and your grandkids are adorable. Bliss is terrific and I look forward to making a quilt out of it some day soon!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the colors of the new line!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite thing about your blog, is how well you mix family and talents. I became a quilter right after I had beat cancer for the first time. My priorities were always family but everything seemed to change after cancer. I was no longer in a hurry, I wanted to enjoy every minute. I have enjoyed quilting so much. Now that I am a grandmother, it has taken on a whole new meaning. I thank you for sharing your talents and blog with us. I love any type of art work and have done it for years. I now write a motivational blog and that is my way of hoping to make a small difference in the world.
ReplyDeletethanks again! Lynn
Beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteLove the family photos! I'll miss summer too, but I find something to like about all the seasons. Love the bliss line.
ReplyDeleteWow! Y'all were busy!
ReplyDeleteI came here via Simplify blog -- can't resist a giveaway!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you had so much fun this summer! In Dallas, it has been SOOOO HOT!!! It is finally cooling off--we're consistently in the low to mid 90's! :) I love Bliss and can't wait to get my hands on it! A charm pack would be great! It would whet my appetite!

ReplyDeleteYour family is so darling. It looks like it was a busy happy summer. I love the new bliss line! (mycreationcorner@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteSeeing you with all your family reminds me how important it is to cherish those moments. Congrats on the soon to be grand children. We have 10 and expect one in December also. I will be making a trip to Boise for that one.
ReplyDeleteI am an Idaho girl myself---living in Florida now. I wish we did not have so many hot, sunny days in the summer. I was pining for Idaho this summer!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun, fun post. I loved looking at the photos. You know, I never could get up on a pair of water skis...must have been bottom heavy huh? LOL. OH, I have missed visiting Yellowstone so I love the photo of Old Faithful. We used to make a point of going every year but it's been a few. We planned it this year but an emergency surgery for me squashed those plans fast the day before we were to leave. It's AWFUL having to unpack from a trip you never got to go on, LOL. But then, my hubby had to do all the unpacking so I guess that was a bright spot in the situation. Love the Bliss!!! I really have to get some. I haven't been able to sew in over 3 months and I am sooooo anxious to get back to it. Thanks again for sharing your family time with us. Lots of smiles. Thank you for that! Hugs...
