A couple of weeks ago I turned on my iron to start pressing and knew it was time to change the cover! You know, when the brown scorched parts start appearing and you start to worry that the brown might stain that pretty white background fabric you are pressing.
I love to press on a new cover, so I thought, wouldn't be fun to see how many ironing boards out there could get a fresh new look this month?
Besides, I can't wait to show you what I have been working on with our new April Showers fabric line. My new patterns will be ready next week and you might want to start stitching something to go along with your nice new ironing board cover...hint, hint :)
And of course to make it even more fun,
you can enter a giveaway for some Bonnie and Camille fabric.

Talk about perfect timing. I was just this weekend looking at my ironing board cover which, in addition to the usual wear and tear, has some beautiful ink art that one of my darlings added to it in one of their less appreciated artistic moments, and thought I need to do something about that. So I have purchased the pattern at an amazing price. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI did mine last week but it's no where near as clever as yours; they're beautiful. http://pinnylea.blogspot.com.au/

I am working on my cover now. I have a large rectangle top on my board so mine will not be the regular shape. Hopefully it will be finished tomorrow. I do not have any Bonnie & Camille to use, so I am using a unique fabric that is fun which was bought 20 years ago. Yes, 20 years ago. I bought fabric when we moved from Florida to Kentucky thinking I would be to poor to buy any.lol
ReplyDeleteWell.. I raised 3 of my grand daughters for 8 years instead of sewing. They each got a baby quilt. Hard to quilt with a kid in your lap. They were 2, 4 and 5. They are now 13, 15, and 16 and living with mom. Enough on that subject. My ironing board cover is coming I promise.
I am praying I am the lucky winner of the fabric bundle. "pick me, pick me" pretty please with sugar on top. ;0
Thanks for the inspiration! Hopefully my link works!

DeleteJust to let you know, Bonnie. My new cover is tucked under and stapled. I was going to take a picture for you, but my camera battery needs to be replaced and my i-Pod is charging for my trip to my pain doc in Lexington in the morning. I will post one as soon as I can. Looks the same on top but I really need the ironing board caddy pattern for my tools. ;)
DeleteDeleted for a typo. Hate typos. lol
Hope you have a great day.
Jan
