Speaking of Size Matters...
...when my husband and I got engaged, my future mother-in-law said, "You can't marry her, she is too short!" She was very serious. I was speechless. Coming from a mother of basketball players, as you can see, she had a valid point. (I am wearing the tallest shoes I could find.) Her son is a foot taller than me and she certainly didn't want short grandchildren. To her, size did matter. After many years, I am pretty sure she has totally forgotten about that comment and I don't think it matters at all to her now. Yes, he does have a cast on his arm, actually, one on each arm (that's why he is wearing a cream colored suit - we thought that way maybe no one would notice). And yes, they were basketball injuries, but that's a story for another day.
My block is called Greek Cross and I decided to make it scrappy.
I stitched three of the blocks together and made it into a Table Runner.
You can find my block instructions here.
It can be made from one Charm Pack which you can find here.
The binding is also scrappy and is part of the charm pack. Such an easy project.
My daughter Camille and I design fabric for Moda. Our latest line is Scrumptious.

Ziggy Petals is my favorite pattern but I can't wait to make Baby Love for a special baby girl who will enter this world in March 2014! I made the Jelly Roll Race quilt with a group of friends and used the Marmalade line...call me blonde but I had no idea it was your and Camille's fabric. It's no wonder I loved it :0)

ReplyDeleteI love the Sweet pattern. Your fabric is beautiful. Sandy
ReplyDeleteI vote for Poppies....and beautiful fabrics. Thanks for taking part in the Moda Blog Hop.
ReplyDeleteBlush was my most favorite ever fabric because it was my introduction to using turquoise and red and all the other wonderful light colors that go with it, have made many quilts with it and its successors. I think I am ready for Poppies. Love the blocks of colors and I am ready for the curves. I recently bought a "retired featherweight" from my quilting friend and teacher and I can see it sewing lots of blocks and curves for Poppies. Stephani in N. TX (Tomazec@aol.com)
ReplyDeleteBaskets of Marmalade is my favorite pattern and I'm collecting fabrics for it now. Love, love the new Scrumptious line!
