HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you out there!
I can't think of a better way to start out the New Year
than by sewing, like crazy, with our
NEW fabric line
happy-go-lucky!
So fresh and fun.
I have 7 NEW Patterns!
They are all available in our shop as printed patterns or
PDF downloads.
I am having so much fun with the Navy in this line, that I couldn't resist using it for the main color in this Table Topper and Table Runner.
The pattern includes instructions for both.
This is a fun block because it has so much motion.
I love how my quilter, LeAnn, quilted the swirl in each block and
used pebbles in the background.
Love the scallop print for the back.
One Layer Cake and a white background makes it easy to choose fabric for this quilt. Add a small border and binding to frame it and you are on your way to stitching.
It is a bit hard to tell in the photos, but the background is a white on white dot. It look like a solid but adds texture. I love it and used it in all my quilts with a white background.
But then, I love all 9 of the tiny dot prints in this line.
The All A Flutter quilt is 66" x 80".
By the way, happy-go-lucky ships in May.
Topsy Turvy is a great Charm Square quilt, so scrappy and great to snuggle up in on these chilly winter days,
especially if you put Snuggles on the back. Size 55" x 62".
By just adding side borders, it makes the finishing much faster.
Who can resist Charm Squares when you see them in the fabric store?
I can't, and then I don't want to pull them apart.
They are so pretty all stacked up!
The Carousel Ride quilt is made with Fat Quarters. Just pick 12 of your favorites, choose a background print (there again, I used the gray dot)
and you are set to go.
The blocks are large so they are easy to piece.
The white in the blocks makes the colors pop.
78" x 82".
(This quilt is not quite finished, so pictures of this one will be coming soon)
You may have heard that MODA has a new pre-cut, Honeycomb Hexagons,
and our happy-go-lucky line is the first to feature them!
I used them in two of my new patterns.
Patchwork Ironing Board Covers and Bundle Up Baby Boy.
This is a great time of year to organize, clean and spruce up your
sewing space. Stitching a new ironing board cover can be a nice change
from the brown, spotted and maybe even scorched one you might be using
right now.
Make one for a friend, she will love it!
Using the soft raw edge method and the Honeycomb pre-cut hexagons makes this
Ironing Board cover so EASY!
The Honeycomb Hexagons are also available in several Bella Solid colors.
My new oven Mitt pattern includes all 6 of the pocket oven mitts.
It's a great way to use up those scraps of your favorite prints you can't seem to part with.
Another great idea for gift giving, sewing day project or sampler quilt, using all 6 blocks.
I used the Insul-Bright heat resistant batting to add extra protection in the oven mitt.
Many of you have stitched our Bundle Up Baby Girl pattern, that came out a few years ago, and loved the soft raw-edged quilt-as-you-go method.
Well, this one is soft raw edge and
quilt-as-you-go as well.
This pattern would also be a great Table Topper!
I also love the scallop print on the bias for binding and used it on several of my quilts.
It comes in 9 different colors.
The blue striped quilt on this pattern uses Jelly roll strips and Honeycombs.
After the quilts are washed and dried, they are so soft and cozy!
Snuggle up your baby boy!
My plan was to design 4 new patterns, but when I started designing and sewing,
I just couldn't stop.
If you would like to make a comment, you could win
some fabric.
Maybe you will get lucky...happy-go-lucky...
Happy 2013!
Bonnie
I am pretty excited about the honeycomb hexagons!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are all great! Great job!
ReplyDeleteoh my - i had never thought of raw edge appliqueying on some jelly roll strips. love it.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness! I love them all! I'm especially fond of Bundle Up Baby Boy, though, as I have 3 girls and only 1 little guy (my youngest) :)
ReplyDeleteJust Fabulous! Like always. Love all the navy.
ReplyDeleteBLESSED NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL NEW COLLECTION!
LOVE YOUR PROJECTS!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
Love the new patterns! I could see making the All a Flutter quilt, then using Carousel Ride blocks to make coordinating pillows. Don't those two patterns just seem so complimentary?
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Love the new patterns and the fabric! You really outdid yourself this time :) The navy is really wonderful! When I first saw the navy, I wasn't too crazy about it. After seeing it used in a pattern, WOW! It is beautiful. This is really hard trying not to buy too much fabric this year. I may have to bend the rules a bit.
ReplyDeleteLove those potholders. I think my kitchen is due for an accessory update.
ReplyDeleteWhat cute new patterns! I think this is my favorite line y'all have done! Would love to make that baby boy quilt! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful new line, can't wait to see it in person.
ReplyDeleteWell, there goes my "stitching from my stash" goal right out the window! I have so many of your patterns and fabric, and will of course have to add the new patterns. LOVE them! I can't wait to have some "Happy Go Lucky" in my hot, little hands! Thank you for the chance to win. :) Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I don't know which pattern I like better, but keep admiring Twirl. And the Happy Go Lucky fabric line looks fabulous. Just what I have been looking for to "think spring". Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Wonderful new patterns and gorgeous fabrics! And I love those hexagons! However, my favorite is All a Flutter! Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteLove the new patterns, but then I always love your patterns. You didn't disappoint!!
ReplyDeletei love the addition of the navy in this line...I like the raw edge idea for the honeycombs--originally I felt the honey combs were kind of limiting buti think if you get your mind wrapped around the shape it might just be a creative challenge. They're not a pre-cut I'd buy without a plan however, like I would a jelly roll or a charm square
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful fabrics and patterns! I have your Ruby, Vintage Modern, and Marmalade lines. Ruby is my favorite of all time, I recently bought another layer cake of it to hoard.
ReplyDeleteI love me a nice crisp clean ironing board cover - but I am also "All a-flutter"....
ReplyDeleteI love these! I've been wanting to make an ironing board cover - this is the perfect pattern. The Honeycomb precuts are going to be my new favorite. I am so excited for this line! Love the navy in it!
ReplyDeleteI love the ironing board cover and the oven mitts. The happy go lucky fabric line is to die for! Love it and I can't wait for it to be available.
ReplyDeleteI love the oven mitts! What a lovely fabric collection. Maybe I will be lucky enough to win.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get one thing done, let alone new designs and finished product! You are so industrious! I love everything, but I think my fav. is the stripes and hexies...cute combo!
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me...hope I win!
Oh I LOVE the ironing board cover. I don't have an ironing board right now, I use a folding table, but if I did I would be making one pronto! Thank you for sharing all your new patterns with us.
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest hot pads ever!! And I just have to recover my ironing board now :)
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about this new line! I really love navy!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lot of great patterns and fabrics. The navy is a great addition.

Kudos to you and Camille for each creating umpteen new patterns for each new fabric line you invent but I have to honestly admit that this time round, none of them speak or excite me. I loot at the fabrics and think to myself, "What's different from the last 2+ lines that they've created?" I have to say I'm not excited, I've seen it before but don't blame you (or Camille). Thank goodness there are so many others that feel differentl
