This is the new high fashion boot I am sporting as of yesterday. I smashed my toe into the corner of my desk two weeks ago. I limped around until yesterday and couldn't stand it any more. I went for an X-ray and sure enough, it was broken. I have to wear this lovey boot for several weeks to keep it stable so it can heal. What a pain, literally. I guess it's a good time to put my foot up and write my new patterns.

What a shame! Hope your toe heals quickly~ and that you are productive! I'm sure you'll think of ways to occupy your time! A good book can make time move easier, as well. Looking forward to some new patterns!
ReplyDeleteYour boot is much more attractive and probably more comfortable than my broken toe experience. It happened back in the dark ages. The doctor put something that looked like popsicle sticks on each side of my big toe and swaddled the toe in white bandages. I walked on my heel for weeks. Hope you get better real soon.
ReplyDeleteI'M SORRY BONNIE!
ReplyDeleteHOPE THE WORST SORENESS IS OVER!
KEEP THE FOOT ELEVATED+GET WELL FAST!
BLESSINGS, LINDA
You need to make some pretty shoelaces for it. I posted a link for a tutorial on my blog. They would look great. Sorry you got hurt though.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your accident - hope it heals fast
ReplyDeleteI'd be settled in with some books to read and some handwork to do...well, until I got tired of being still! Hope it feels better quickly!!
ReplyDeletesorry to hear that. Be good girl and let it heal. maybe you might enjoy some activities other wise you couldn't make time for.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time
You won't have to wear your fashion footwear at quilt market will you? Get better soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteHope your toe gets better soon. I had a stress fracture in my toe last year so know how you feel wearing the boot which are quite heavy. Get well
