A time to look back on the year and reflect on the events of
2010 and count our blessings.

Cotton Way all started.
What an amazing journey it has been.
Quilt Magazine did an amazing job!
Thank you to everyone involved!

Our grandson now 15 will be moving across the country with his Mom and her family this month. So, my family is taking a deep breath and moving on and away from the sadness.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
Karen

ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to a happy year and being present in each moment...enjoying life's everyday blessings...feel of fabric in the quilt shop, sound of the sewing machine as I sew, chopping veggies for vegetable soup, smell of bread baking, grandkiddos laughing...yes, enjoying life's simple pleasures...pure bliss.

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing my son after two years in Chile! Woo-hoo!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was still working, "I'm going to get caught up!" was among my yearly New Year's resolutions. I've been retired for 6 years now & a quilter for 5 and guess what one of my resolutions for 2011 is? "I'M GOING TO GET CAUGHT UP!!!" LOL So I'm looking forward to trying!!
ReplyDeleteI love Bliss & your quilt is so blissful. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I am looking forward to a less stressful year and spending many happy moments with my family and parents. We survived the Nashville May floods...my sister, mother and I stood at the edge of the flood waters for 5 1/2 hours waiting for my father to be rescued by boat. They had to stay at my house for a week, while there my mother fell down my stairs and hurt her leg really bad. We repaired their home and they moved back in. Couple of months later they were involved in a car accident, hospital trip the whole nine yards, turned out they were fine. My mother had a mini stroke at the same time my father was having dizzy spells and his blood was so low they put him in the hospital. I look forward to having many happy moments with them this year. I would also like to set aside more time for sewing and quilting.
ReplyDelete2011 will be a great year for me (I sure am aiming for that!) - more quilty projects and for me I want to try some garments and more serger projects. Thanks for the Bliss kit giveaway - I used my Bliss charm pack for a Christmas gift and have been wanting more!

I am looking forward to watching my two boys (3 years and 6 months) grow up. I am excited to have a year filled with laughter, fun, new adventures, playing, etc. that will happen because of the two boys who love each other so much. It will also be a year filled with firsts for my younger son and I am excited to see those milestones!

Having a 3 yr old son, I am looking forward to all that a 3 yr old brings to his imagination. I look forward to reorganizing "the studio" and allowing my brain to create without judgement or boundaries, just in the same way my 3 yr old plays! Happy New Year from Washington DC!

ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to spending time with my family this year. Most of our family members and grandchildren will be going on a Disney Cruise together this February.
ReplyDeleteI love Bliss! Want to make quilts for all of my 8 grandkids. When they were born didn't have time. So your fabric would be perfect. Thanks Sandi
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly ending the year with a bang! I will have to go find the magazine on the stands! I am working on my 3rd quilt made from Bliss! Hmmm, what am I looking forward to this year? I recently turned 55 and I really want to focus a little more on me/being well balanced- physically and mentally.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to being able to see properly and therefor quilt better. Due to an inoperable eye condition I have been experiencing worsening eyesight for the last ten years. Now thanks to custom made and very expensive contact lenses I can see clearer than I have since I was diagnosed at 25. Nice Christmas present as I got them on the 23rd of Dec. Looking back at my recent hand stitching is kind of scary but at least I kept it up! Looking forward to not having to hold my stitching an inch under my nose to see it too!!!

ReplyDelete2011 will bring me two new grandchildren...one in January and one in August. Can't wait to see what you have to share in your 21st year. Best to you in 2011.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to completing a bunch of baby quilts next year, for which I have been purchasing fabric by the ton lately. (My poor hubby; He's a keeper.) I hope to try "something new" with each quilt - specifically practicing some free-motion quilting and quilting with my new walking foot. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt! I'm looking forward to finishing off some projects in 2011 and then having time to get to all the new projects I want to make!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
