ReplyDeleteTo me, bliss is a quiet day off with my husband. Our schedules are so hectic, we rarely get much down-time together, so when we do, it is very precious and we make the most of it.
Pinto beans and cornbread with my grandmother and momma followed by porch sitting looking at lightning bugs. That is my bliss (it's only 250 miles away).

What fun colors and prints. To me bliss is that one moment in time where your heart, mind, and soul connect and for that instant you are really and truly happy... it occurs at various instances in our lives and for everyone it is different. For me it occurs at such times as holding a child's hand, kissing a hurt away, seeing a child accomplish something hard, a bouquet of blossoms, and so many more things...

ReplyDeleteI have two levels of bliss...one is with my children, playing outside with them and watcing them explore the world and share things with me (picking "flowers" and bringing me squished aunts) I love when we can all get out of our little house and enjoy fresh air. the other bliss to me is peace...stillness. those first few moments after they fall asleep and all the weight is lifted off my sholders, the time between bed time routeens and before evenign chores and my own bed time...simple, yes, blissfull, yes! and I get to experience it almost once a night at least! durring the summers, I get both blisses in one day!!

Your Bliss is absolutely gorgeous. When a color set catches my eye as your does, my mind goes bezerk thinking of things I can sew with it. My Bliss is my three girls and making clothes for them (16, 13, 9). They would love skirts, handbags, shorts, jackets made out of this - see I'm starting to go bezerk. Bliss is all the kids bathed and fed and content at the end of the day and the feeling that I did my best for them.

Bliss is hand quilting in front of the tv (preferably Survivor or Lost) in the evenings after a hectic workday! Hexagons are my current fave.

ReplyDeleteA Day of BLISS: Morning coffee in my swing barefott watching the sun finish rising; breakfast with Twilight/New Moon; check on my veggies in the garden and clip a few flowers for the kitchen and weed a bit; shower; nap; make a large salad with bleu cheese crumbles and balsamic dressing; spend the evening sewing; wash up and get to bed early.
