Snow Day = Sew Day

This morning when I looked out my front window this is what I saw...

out my back window this is what I saw...

my pond is frozen, it's snowing, the roads are icy, the horse is even shivering. It's just not a good day to be out and about...

...so I decided if it was going to be a snowy day, I needed a sewing day. Not that I needed an excuse, but some days I don't get to sew. I pulled out my cheery Hunky Dory with its fresh pinks and aquas, great greens and yummy yellows and started cutting.

It's going to be a good day. What do you do on snowy winter days?

  3. We've had about 24 inches of snow in Broadway, VA. Reading, sewing, and cooking are my favorite snow day activities. Today I want to make a fabric lunch bag.

  6. I read, sew and work a jigsaw puzzle. I usually alternate a couple of hours on each. The last time it snowed we pretended we were snowed in and didn't go anywhere or do anything for 3 days. Loved it.

  8. That looks like our day here today. And I just finished a Moda Bake Shop project out of that very fabric. You'll have to see it when it comes out. Of course, it's probably not something you would need . . . But I do like that fabric an awful lot. Hope you got something fun accomplished!
