Last week my mom turned 83. It got me thinking about all that she has accomplished in her life so far. Just one example of her many accomplishments is shown in this picture of her two years ago at Christmas. She pieced and hand quilted, yes hand quilted, 10 quilts all in one year for her ten children. Amazing, simply amazing.
What a beautiful post...and such a lovely tribute to your mother! I'm so grateful my grandmother is a quilter and passed her love of this art on to me!

I'm only 2 weeks behind (I know...) but had to second that. She is such an amazing woman, and we are so lucky to have her. Love you Grandma!
ReplyDeleteOh you are all going to make me cry! We are so lucky there are those who would teach us and pass the tradition along.
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe your mom is that old. She is an amazing woman. I am greatful that I know her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tribute! Now we know where your talent originated from, that is unless her mother quilted, and so on. Beautiful work.
